How do you carry a successful prevention campaign forward? This is exactly the challenge we faced with Card Security. While the focus in previous years was on a variety of card offences, in 2024 we are concentrating on phishing. To assist us in this project, we are once again featuring our popular fisherman, this time in a new setting.
Campaign 2024
Phishing is by far the most common card scam. The perpetrators benefit from the gullibility and ignorance of their victims. This is exactly what we are warning against in the “Card Security” national police campaign. Our likeable fisherman, who we already used last year, once again takes centre stage. He focusses attention on the subject and provides helpful tips. Thanks to the humorous and appealing staging, he attracts widespread attention. Publicity channels used for the campaign include the police force and financial institutions as well as media and social media placements.
